CryoFall has a number of different Characters that inhabit the World. Some creatures are hostile and dangerous, while others are peaceful. Different creatures can be found in the various biomes, and drop unique resources.
Player
The Player is the player-controlled character. On multi-player servers, one may encounter other Players. Unlike other creatures, the appearance of the Player can vary greatly and be customized. The Player's stats may also be increased through the learning of Skills and the equipment of Armor.
Peaceful creatures
Peaceful creatures do not attack the player when approached and often run away when attacked. Peaceful creatures do not harm the player.

Hostile creatures
Hostile creatures will actively hunt down the player and engage in combat if sufficiently close. It is possible to run away from them most of the time if one wishes to avoid combat. Some creatures have ranged attacks, such as Scorpion with its ranged Psi attack.
Event Creatures
Some creatures spawn only during certain events. These creatures are all hostile or damage the player. The Pragmium Queen and Sand Tyrant are World Bosses that are intended to be tackled by multiple players.
