Hello SatanicSanta, I think I understand what you mean about the images. I looked through and found the Upload File link which takes you to the Upload File Form, you then reference the newly created file page. I will follow that convention in the future. -- y2clay14

That was Atomictorchstudio who left you the message about uploading files; my message was inviting you to join Gamepedia Slack. I'm not really sure what Atomictorchstudio is referring to there so I can't say really anything on the subject. By the way you can sign your messages with ~~~~ which will include a timestamp and proper links to your talk page etc. TheSatanicSanta (talk) 15:50, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Hello and thanks for the greetings,

I have gone ahead and joined the discord channel, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Hello TheSatanicSanta, you marked several articles as a stub (Wood Logs, Wood Planks, Charcoal,...). Can you please explain why? In my opinion, they are quite complete. What do you miss?
Is there a convention, which i should know about? Thank you. Quantumvortexx (talk) 21:12, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Sorry for the confusion. Some of those recently marked stubs, I really only marked as stubs because I think they could use an infobox instead of having an {{Item}} at the top. I will make an "infobox needed" template and go through the stubs and re-mark them. As for conventions, no, we basically are at liberty to establish our own wiki-specific conventions for pages. It would be good to formalize them and write them up, though (see ftb:Category:Guidelines for some examples). TheSatanicSanta (talk) 03:05, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
Hello TheSatanicSanta, I saw you redacted some of my recent changes and I understand, that you prefer a short introduction for the item at the top of the page. That made me think about your idea again to 'write some conventions/guidelines' for this wiki. My opinion is: These guidelines should not bee too long/bulky (like the above) because they could otherwise repel possible contributers (TL;DR you know). This wiki is in need of more content/writers. I suggest to give good examples rather than place rules. This way it feels better and helps finding a good pattern for Copy&Paste.
And it would be useful to ease access to such examples, like linking from the front page. Quantumvortexx (talk) 20:43, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
I pretty much agree with all of that. Guidelines could be linked at the bottom section of the front page in the same box as the help wiki links. The lead section is important firstly because it's what users will immediately see and start reading, and secondly because it shows up in search results (Google, etc).
